Our mission: Building a strong Community, families & Youth for a better future
Who we are: Harbor Village Families & Youth Center serves all the children and families in the Harbor Village Community. We serve over 1500 kids and 500 parents each year. Club membership is available for boys & girls between the ages of 6 – 18 with No membership fees. We provide youth and parents with access to, and use of, all facilities, programs and services the Harbor Village Youth Club, and the Boys & Girls Club of the South Bay have to offer.
Hours: Summer hours are 11:00AM -4:00PM. Regular school days hours are 2:30PM-5:30PM Monday – Friday

Arts & Crafts help young people enhance self-expression and creativity using paint, paper, clay, natural objects, and other materials, and develop multicultural appreciation, provide exposure to and develop skills in Arts & crafts. |

| Sports, Fitness and Games These activities help develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal |

| Computer Lab: Hands on computer training for the youth, they learn how to navigate the computer and play educational games. |

Kids Café Power Pack Snack Program and Summer Food Service Program
Free Lunch & Snack
This program addresses the needs for proper nutrition and quality day and after school care in Families & Youth for low-income youth. Healthy meals and snacks are served to needy children in a safe, nurturing environment. Children often receive tutoring assistance, participate in sports, and benefit from mentoring.

| Food Bank: We have join the Food Bank in fighting hunger, we distribute grocery bags of food to needy families and individuals seeking food assistance. (The L.A. Mayor helped us with food bags) |

| Hire L.A’S Youth:
Families & Youth ages 14-18 work in the summer and get paid. They are preparing to gain and maintain entry level skills that will help them in the future. |

|
Field Trips: Families & Youth provide low cost field trips for the summer youth club. The Youth enjoy there summer vacation and build friendly relationships. |
|
|
| Holiday Community Parties: The Community celebrates the holidays together 4th of July event, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. The children and there families enjoy fellowship and get to know there community residents as they enjoy together food, games, and lots of fun. |

| Christmas Toy giveaway:
Every year the children receive a toys. |

Fitness Class: The community residents come together and learn together how to maintain a healthy look and feel better about them selves. This class is great for Women of all types and for Men as well with the same interest to become fit and maintain healthy.
Turkey Distribution: Once a year The Normont Terrace Coordinating Council distributes over 300 Turkeys for the Harbor Village families in Hope that every family will have a blessed Thanksgiving day.
We are grateful for the partnership of so many people who donates time and resources, in order to help our Harbor Village Families and Youth Center in dire need of a helping hand. We are touch by the love and care expressed by all involved. |
